French girl’s dead body encased in concrete in Le Mans
The parents of an eight-year-old French girl whose dead body had been discovered on Friday covered by concrete have been taken into police custody on suspicion of manslaughter, it has been reported.

Marina Sabatier’s corpse had been found at her father's workplace in Le Mans, south-west of Paris but on Wednesday the parents claimed their daughter was the victim of a kidnapping.

The parents are facing an investigation and charges of manslaughter, violence against a minor, and wasting police time.

The prosecution claim that parents had confessed to police that they had abused Marina, who suffered from Down's Syndrome, but nevertheless maintained that the little girl’s death was from natural causes.

If they are found guilty, the couple who have four other children, could face life.
