Pop star Madonna upsets some fans in Romania
Pop singer Madonna has upset some of her fans in Romania and they booed and jeered her after she commented on the discrimination against Romany Gypsies.

Madonna was performing a two-hour show in Bucharest when she paused and told the audience that finding out about this discrimination had made her very sad.

MadonnaMadonna’s publicist Liz Rosenberg said that the 51-year-old star had made the comments after finding out how much prejudice towards Romany people in Eastern Europe there is.

Madonna has a group of Roma musicians accompanying her on her Sticky and Sweet tour.

Madonna is reported to have said: "We don't believe in discrimination, we believe in freedom and equal rights for everyone."

And she went on to mention that there was discrimination against gay people too and that this was also very wrong. Although she was booed again for this there were some fans who supported what she was saying and they cheered the star.
