Bob Dylan to release album of Xmas songs for charityLegendary veteran singer-songwriter Bob Dylan is taking a break from writing the folk-rock, protest and blues songs he is known for and is going to release an album of Christmas songs.
The American royalties for Christmas in the Heart will be going to the Feeding America charity, the star’s record label Columbia Records has revealed.
Dylan’s new album is scheduled for release on 13 October, and will include Winter Wonderland, Here Comes Santa Claus and Little Drummer Boy. Dylan is reported to have explained his choice for where the proceeds of the album will be going like this: "It's a tragedy that more than 35 million people in this country alone - 12 million of those, children - often go to bed hungry and wake up each morning unsure of where their next meal is coming from."
