Michael Jackson to be buried at Forest Lawn in Los Angeles

Deceased pop idol Michael Jackson is going to be buried in Los Angeles on 3 September - not 29 August - at the Forest Lawn memorial park in Glendale, Los Angeles, it has been revealed.

Ken Sunshine, a spokesman for the Jackson family, said it would be a private ceremony but he did not explain why the date had been altered.

The Jackson family had previously stated that the burial ceremony would be held on 29 August, on what would have been Michael Jackson’ 51st birthday if the singer had still been alive.

The Great Mausoleum at Forest Lawn, where the star’s remains will be placed is well-protected by security cameras.

Another memorial service had previously been held by the singer’s family before the televised tribute concert for Michael Jackson on 7 July.

It has still not been established for certain how Jackson met his death back in June.
