France ends the hunt for crashed plane’s “black boxes”
The search for the “black boxes” from the Air France plane that crashed earlier this summer has been called off.

The French accident investigation agency has given up looking for the flight recorder devices that went down with the plane when it went into the Atlantic Ocean on 1 June, and killed 228 people in the process.

A330The search ship that has been conducting an investigation in the area of ocean near where the plane went down is heading for Senegal, and officially the second stage of the search has been ended.

It is possible that a third hunt for evidence will be launched but at present the exact cause of the disaster is still unknown.

The Airbus A330 got into extreme difficulty in a storm en route from Rio de Janeiro to Paris and went down into the sea.
