Waylett was given 120 hours of unpaid community work by Westminster Magistrates' Court.
Police had arrested the actor with a friend called John Innis because they had been taking photos of the officers and then discovered pictures of the plants on Waylett’s camera.
Police then searched Waylett's mother's house where they also discovered the 10 illegal cannabis plants.
