Ms Bakari was treated in hospital in the Comoros Islands for her injuries and is said to have suffered a broken collar bone and burns.
The French Minister for Co-operation, Alain Joyandet, and other officials had accompanied the girl on her journey back to Paris.
Kassim Bakari met his daughter on her arrival in France but his emotions were mixed, because whilst he was happy to see Baya, he was saddened by the loss of his wife who had perished in the disaster.
The Reuters news agency reported that docotors in the Comoros Islands, who had treated Ms Bakari, had said that she was "regaining her spirit and was in a satisfactory physical state".
There were 66 French passengers on board the ill-fated plane and most of the rest were Comorans. Baya Bakari is the only person to have survived.
