French official says flight recorder for plane crash found
A French official has revealed that one of the black box flight recorders from the Yemeni aircraft that had crashed in the Indian Ocean on Tuesday has been found.

AFP news agency has reported that the official explained that there will now be an attempt to retrieve the recorder.

Yemeni plane crashThe only known survivor of disaster is a teenage girl called Baya Bakari, and she is said to be recovering well from the experience.

The plane that crashed had left the Yemeni capital Sanaa and was on its way to the Comoros when the accident happened. There were 153 on board at the time, including 66 French nationals, with most of the rest being Comorans.

Many of the passengers had already flown on a different plane from Paris or Marseille before they boarded the flight IY626 in Sanaa.

A French boat has been sent to the site to start recovery of the flight recorder, and rescue teams are already there looking for survivors.

Apart from the one teenager, no-one else from the plane has been found alive, and it is now thought very unlikely that any more survivors will be discovered after all this time.
