Glastonbury Festival acts made their tributes to Michael Jackson
The world has been shocked by the death of pop star Michael Jackson last Thursday, and tributes have been pouring in from fans, friends and fellow-entertainers. At the UK's Glastonbury Festival many acts paid tribute to Jackson.

Amongst them were NERD frontman Pharrell Williams, singer Lily Allen and The Streets' Mike Skinner.

Michael JacksonAllen made a point of wearing a single white glove for her set on the Pyramid Stage in memory of the glove that Jackson had worn, and The Streets performed a cover version of the hit Billie Jean.

The Glastonbury Festival officially started on Friday, only hours after the news of Jackson's death was getting out to people.

Producer and rapper Williams is reported to have said that Jackson and Quincey Jones, who had masterminded the Thriller album, had "opened the door for human beings to explore a higher level of musical consciousness".

Glastonbury Festival founder Michael Eavis and his daughter  Emily, who is now a main organiser of the event, both paid tribute to Jackson as well.
