
Frederic Mitterrand is known for being a gay television star and writer and he will be the replacement for Christine Albanel, whose recent internet piracy law was rejected by parliament.
The new interior minister is Brice Hortefeux, although most of the main ministries have not been altered. Hortefeux is moving up from having worked on social affairs in the past.
Rachida Dati will be taking up a new role at the European Parliament and will be leaving her current position as minister of justice, and Agriculture Minister Michel Barnier is also going. Michele Alliot-Marie will take over from ms Dati.
Francois Fillon is still the Prime Minister of France, and the jobs of Foreign Minister Bernard Kouchner, Finance Minister Christine Lagarde, and Defence Minister Herve Morin are all unchanged in the reshuffle.
