The celebrity couple were appearing in Cannes a year after Jolie's pregnancy had been revealed in error at the last festival by the actress's Kung Fu Panda co-star Jack Black.
On this visit to the French Riviera and Cannes Film Festival, Jolie was wearing a revealing salmon pink gown that displayed one of her shoulders.
Jolie told the press that it was "wonderful" to be back there again.
Pitt's co-stars Mike Myers, Michael Fassbender, Diane Kruger and Melanie Laurent were also in Cannes for the prestigious event.
