French tennis star Paul-Henri Mathieu to face Andy Murray
French tennis star Paul-Henri Mathieu is about to face Scotsman Andy Murray in Indian Wells on Monday.

And although Murray is a top player the Frenchman, who is rated at number 33 in the world, is in with a chance and Murray acknowledges this.

Paul-Henri MathieuMurray has played against Mathieu in the past and knows his opponent is a very good player. As well as this, Murray knows that he has only just made his own comeback after recovering from a virus that had made him so ill he said it was the worst sickness he had experienced in his whole career.

Nevertheless, 21-year-old Murray has a 2-0 winning record from his past meetings with the Frenchman and he had set his heart on doing well at this tournament despite his recent illness.

Murray will be facing Mathieu at 1900 GMT.

Murray has already defeated Albert Montanes 7-5 6-3 in the second round on Friday, and he says he wants to be in top shape for the next Masters 1000 event being held in Miami.
