The two men, who were both from Leeds, had been attempting to take a short cut on the way back back to their chalet when they fell to their deaths. They are reported to have been visiting a bar before their fatal accident and apear to have ignored warning signs.
The bodies of the two men had been discovered in the "Black Coombe" ravine on Friday, near the Deux Alpes ski station east of Grenoble.
As many as seven people have also met their deaths after falling over that cliff in the past 12 years.
In another previous previous tragic accident Christopher Hilton had fallen to his death in the Alps as well. His body was found on a ledge in the Oisans range of the central French Alps only three days back where he had fallen over 100 metres.
Mr Hilton, who had lived and worked in Stalybridge, Cheshire, where he was a science teacher at Littlemoss High School, had disappeared after going for a hike on his own last July, when he had been on holiday with his parents.
