The satellites colliding together created massive clouds of debris, and it is expected that weeks will be needed for the clouds to clear.
Nasa is currently keeping track over the debris, which it hopes will burn up in the atmosphere of the Earth.
There is a worry though that the debris will spread out and could cause a risk of damaging the ISS, which is in orbit some 435km below where the satellites met with their accident.
