The ship has some 700 tonnes of asbestos-contaminated materials and was returned to France from India back in 2006.
However, now the 255-metre ship is due to be dismantled and recycled at the Graythorp shipyard in Britain.

Hartlepool-based Able UK will be in charge of dismantling the 32,700-tonne Clemenceau, having overcome environmental concerns about its safety last year.
Able UK is due to begin work on the Clemenceau after Easter, in a project costing 10m euro (£8.75m), and an additional 200 jobs will be created by this.
