Hollywood star Patrick Swayze to write about his life

Hollywood actor Patrick Swayze, who has been battling against pancreatic cancer, is reported to be about to start writing his memoirs, and his wife Lisa Niemi will help him with the book.

Annett Wolf, on behalf of 56-year-old Swayze, confirmed that this was taking place but she was unable to say when the book would be available or name a publisher at this stage.

Swayze, who is most famous for his role in Dirty Dancing, has been fighting cancer of the pancreas for the last year, and earlier this year he admitted he might only live for another two years.

Swayze has not stopped working though, and despite his serious illness, he has been taking part in a new television series entitled The Beast. The show had its first showing this week on the American cable network A&E.

Producers of The Beast have revealed that all episodes for the first series are finished but they hope the star will be able to carry on acting in another series to follow.
