Reuters news service revealed that Dr Tohme Tohme had claimed that rumours about Jackson’s health are not true, and that the author Halperin has suggested otherwise in a bid to publicise his book about the star.
Halperin had been reported in the Sunday Express as saying that Jackson has an illness that affects his blood and lungs, and he further claimed that the singer could hardly speak, has emphysema, internal bleeding, and that he has lost most of his ability to see with his left eye.
Dr Tohme, however, responded claiming that: "Mr Jackson is in fine health and finalising negotiations with a major entertainment company and television network for both a world tour and a series of specials and appearances."
Nevertheless in November, Jackson's lawyer told the High Court that his client had been unable to fly to London to give evidence in a court case because the singer was ill.
