French President Nicolas Sarkozy supports Brazil E-mail

French President Nicolas Sarkozy supports Brazil
Speaking at a summit meeting, French President Nicolas Sarkozy showed his support for Brazil claiming that the country should have a greater role in global matters and that it should become part of the UN Security Council.

The leader of France was on a visit to Rio de Janeiro to meet with his counterpart there, Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva.

President SarkozyThe French president revealed that Brazil and the EU, which he represents, would both be holding a common viewpoint regarding the global financial crisis.

It is thought that President Sarkozy is going to sign a deal to aid Brazil in building the country’s first nuclear submarine.

The President of France has been accompanied on his trip to Brazil by several of his country’s ministers and leading industrialists.

President Sarkozy’s visit to Brazil is his last act as EU president with the position next going to the Czech Republic in January.
