23-year-old Ronaldo was thrilled with the honour of winning the Ballon d’Or and said that he felt at home with Manchester United.
Back in the summer this year, Ronaldo had been rumoured as considering a move to Real Madrid but this came to nothing.
Ronaldo had scored 42 goals for Manchester United and helped his club win the Premier League and the Champions League.
Ronaldo has become the first Manchester United player to win the award since George Best all the way back in 1968.
Sir Alex Ferguson predicted that this was just the beginning of a very bright future ahead for Ronaldo.
