Ms Pressly, who presented the morning news show and who played a small role in Oliver Stone's George W Bush film, had been discovered by her mother on 20 October at her home in Little Rock.
The TV presenter had been very badly beaten around the head and face, and doctors who examined her body found that her brain had been caused to swell up from the force of her injuries.
Ms Pressly’s employers at the television station have set up a reward fund, and are appealing for information leading to the arrest and conviction of her attacker.
Police have said they think Ms Pressly may have been the victim of a burglary that went wrong, although they have no evidence apart from the fact that her credit card has been used after she had been attacked.
