
Aibel explained that the writers wanted to work with either a panda or with Black and added that they decided that if they could write for the actor as a panda then they could do the same for him as a human too.

The two writers had worked with Black for months on recording sessions for the DreamWorks Animation's Panda, and back in August it was confirmed that the studio was planning a follow up film.
