Wikileaks posts screenshots of Sarah Palin’s hacked account
Wikileaks whistle-blowing website posted screenshots of the hacked e-mail account of US Republican vice-presidential candidate Sarah Palin and messages, the inbox, pictures and address book were shown.

Mrs Palin's e-mail account was hacked into on September 18th and this account and her site have now been deleted.

Sarah PalinHow her account was compromised has been under investigation by the FBI and the US Secret Service and it is thought that the hackers exploited Yahoo's e-mail service password resetting option.

They could have obtained enough information on Mrs Palin's life from public sources, such as Wikipedia, to use to get around the security questions for her account.

Yahoo state: "Yahoo treats issues of security and privacy very seriously."

The news of Sarah Palin’s hacked e-mail account arrives as the question of whether she has used her personal e-mail accounts to carry out state business has been raised.

Palin is herself under investigation in Alaska for alleged abuse of power while she was acting as governor of the American state in 2006.
