The 1975 film, which was based on the 1973 stage show The Rocky Horror Show, starred Tim Curry, Susan Sarandon and Meat Loaf but the cast and director of the new version haven’t been revealed as yet.
Lou Adler, who was the executive producer for the original Rocky Horror Picture Show, will be in charge of production again.
The new version of the Rocky Horror Picture Show will be premiered in the UK on the Sky Movies channel.
Audiences for the stage and screen versions are encouraged to dress up like the show's decadently flamboyant characters and will no doubt be invited to do so again.
