Because of this the model was invited to say how she felt about this in The Times editorial, where she said she knew more about horses than most of the other people going to the event.
Jordan is quoted as saying: "It's pure snobbery. However good a horsewoman I am, I'm also a glamour model. That embarrassed them."
Jordan has been a horse-rider since she was a little girl of seven, and was recently invited to perform a dressage masterclass at the Horse of The Year show, which is being staged at the NEC Arena in Birmingham in October this year.
Jordan added: "Polo should be for people who love horses, not a media charade. They should be for everyone - little girls, glamour girls, working-class girls like me. No one should be excluded."
