
The court was also informed that the singer did not want to extend a restraining order against her former manager, Sam Lutfi, and was told that a "private agreement" had been reached with him, so no further court action was necessary.
Ms Spears' mother, Lynne, was granted the restraining order in February after she claimed that Lutfi had been controlling her daughter Britney's life with drugs and taking control of her money.
Los Angeles Superior Court Commissioner Reva Goetz decided the next review of Britney Spears’ case would be in October, and indicated that it is possible that the current arrangement could be closed then.
Neither Britney or James Spears attended the court on Thursday.
