Greek singer Nana Mouskouri makes last performance
Popular Greek singer Nana Mouskouri has performed on stage for the last time following an incredible career for the last 50 years.

The 73-year-old star, who was born on Crete, delighted her fans in a final performance she made at the Herodes Atticus theatre, in Athens.

Nana MouskouriMouskouri originally announced she was retiring three years ago and has been on a farewell tour ever since but now she has finally appeared on stage fro the very last time.

In her lengthy career the veteran singer has sold more than 300 million records and once toured with Harry Belafonte, as well as having recorded with Quincy Jones and Julio Iglesias.

Nana Mouskouri even had a song written especially for her by Bob Dylan and has recorded as many as 1,500 songs in seven different languages.

Mouskouri gave her reason for deciding to make it the last concert she was ever going to give because she feared she was now at an age where if she carried on that her singing "will disappoint a lot of people".

The prime minister of Greece and the mayors of Berlin, Paris and Luxembourg were all in attendance at Nana Mouskouri’s final performance.
