40-year-old Carla Bruni’s Comme Si De Rien N'Etait (As If Nothing Had Happened) is being released on Friday in France and mainland Europe, and in the UK on Monday.
Her debut album Quelqu'un m'a dit (Someone Told Me) came out in 2003 and sold two million copies, but her second record, last year's No Promises, only sold a disappointing 380,000 copies.
Bruni wrote most of her third album Comme si de rien n'etait (As If Nothing Had Happened) and it will be the first recording she has released since she married French President Nicolas Sarkozy.
Carla Bruni has revealed that she will not be touring to promote the album, and she said that all her royalties would go to charity.
