French footballer Anthony le Tallec joins Le Mans
French football star Anthony Le Tallec, who has been playing for Liverpool on the UK, has joined Le Mans after he has been on loan to Le Havre, St Etienne, Sunderland and Sochaux.

23-year-old Le Tallec was on loan at Le Mans last season and now he has decided to sign a four-year deal with the club.

Anthony Le TallecAnthony Le Tallec joined Liverpool in 2003 when Gerard Houllier brought him to the British club alongside Florent Sinama-Pongolle.

Both footballers played as part of the team in France's Under-17 World Cup-winning side of 2001, however, Le Tallec failed to perform consistently whilst with Liverpool.

In fact, Le Tallec only scored one goal for the team, although he was included amongst the players who took part in the 2005 Champions League quarter-final against Juventus.

Anthony Le Tallec made 22 appearances as well as scoring five goals last season when Le Mans were ninth in League One.
