President Sarkozy can be heard complaining: "It's a question of manners. When you're invited, you're entitled to have people say 'hello' to you".
The video footage was captured on Monday, when French President Sarkozy was waiting to be interviewed for France 3 television.
The president of France is also seen winking whilst moaning about the technician’s behaviour.
A representative for President Sarkozy made no comment on the matter, however, FR3 has heavily criticised the "pirating" of the footage, which was not intended for public broadcast, and the company has launched an investigation.
