Amy Winehouse for Glastonbury and Nelson Mandela gig
Troubled singer Amy Winehouse has started rehearsing for her forthcoming concerts, although she has recently been treated in hospital for traces of the lung disease emphysema.

24-year-old Winehouse is due to sing at a gig for Nelson Mandela's 90th birthday and also at Glastonbury festival on the weekend.

Amy WinehouseA spokesman for the singer said it "looks likely" she will perform but they are still awaiting go ahead from the doctors.

On Monday Amy Winehouse's father is reported to have said his daughter had been responding well and that she would make a complete recovery if she gave up smoking.

However, her British publicist claimed her father had "muddied the water" because he isn’t a qualified medical expert, and added: "She has something that could lead to emphysema and has to do the right things to stop that happening."

Winehouse became ill last week and fainted at her London home. She has been receiving hospital care for the last week.
