Singer and DJ Boy George’s visa refused for US
Former Culture Club singer turned DJ Boy George's American solo summer tour is now doubtful following his application for a visa being turned down because of legal matters in the UK.

The problem specifically relates to a forthcoming London trial in November. George was arrested last year after a 28-year-old Norwegian male escort accused him of false imprisonment by chaining him to a wall and also of assaulting him.

Boy George47-year-old Boy George was released on bail after denying the allegations against him.

But now his 24-date tour, which is scheduled to start on 11 July in Las Vegas is in doubt, and a statement by his management said: "At the moment, Boy George cannot come to the United States of America because he has been refused permission to enter by the USA Administration."

George is reported to be “astounded” by having had his visa turned down and is hoping that the American authorities will reconsider and let him go ahead with his proposed tour.
