Gael Clichy’s performance for Arsenal over the years has earned him a long-term deal with the club.
Clichy has actually appeared 146 times playing for Arsenal and he was named in the Professional Footballers' Association team of the year at the end of last season.
Arsenal have not as yet said how long they have signed Clichy for but have called it "long-term'.
There had been rumours that Clichy was considering a move to Italian side Roma, and that the Serie A runners-up were still interested in signing him even after they had taken John-Arne Riise from Liverpool. Those rumours have been squashed now that Clichy has signed with Arsenal.
