French birth of twins for Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt denied

The manager of Brad Pitt, whose partner Angelina Jolie has been rumoured to have given birth to twins in France, has claimed these reports are false. Cynthia Pett-Dante explained to Reuters: "It's not true, it's a rumour."

American show Entertainment Tonight had revealed on Friday that Jolie had given birth to twins, and had quoted an unnamed person, who it said knew the actress, as the source of the story.

Angelina Jolie had confirmed she was expecting twins whilst she was a guest at the French Cannes Film Festival last month, and Now magazine reported that the twins are going to be named Isla Marcheline and Amelie Jane.

People magazine quoted another unnamed source that scotched the rumour and said: "Angelina has not given birth. She is fine, enjoying her home and her family in France."

Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie are said to have purchased a $70 million (£35.6m) property in the French Riviera recently where they reportedly intend bringing up their family.
