David Bowie even went as far as saying he didn’t know who the Danish musical director was when he said: "I have no idea who Peter Schaufuss is either."
Bowie's representatives claim that the Schaufuss musical's advertising campaign "appears to be utilising an unauthorised name and likeness of Mr Bowie," and they are threatening to take legal action against the director.
Peter Schaufuss, who is a former director of the London Festival Ballet, has created many productions, including a controversial one based on the life of Diana, Princess of Wales.
