French industries are making less
France’s industries have been producing less and their combined output has dropped four times more than was expected for March, and this is causing worries over the economy of the country.

The car sector was hit the worst by the slump in production, and fell by 2.9%, according to official figures.

Nicolas SarkozyGlobal Equities economist Marc Touati voiced concerns by saying: "The French economy is in the process of going from autumn to winter."

The output by manufacturers, but not including those who specialise in energy, agriculture and food processing, has dropped by 1.5%, whilst production of consumer goods is down by 0.8%.

President Nicolas Sarkozy will have to try and find a solution for these alarming figures and they will also worry other European governments, because they suggest that the economy of France is heading for a recession and other countries could follow as well.
