Mick Potter has signed a two-year contract with the British club St Helens, which will begin next year when he takes over from compatriot Anderson, who is going back to Australia at the end of this one.
St Helens chairman Eamonn McManus said: "We are pleased Mick has accepted the role. He is a coach with an improving track record."
Mick Potter has an impressive record with Catalans Dragons having led them to the Challenge Cup final at Wembley last August and the French team are now third in the Super League.
The Catalan Dragons were so pleased with him that they offered Potter a new two-year contract but he turned that down to take up his new position with St Helens.
