Pete Doherty had already received a suspended jail sentence for possession of drugs as well as driving illegally in October last year.
Pete Doherty was required to make regular appearances in court for progress reports, and to undergo a drug rehabilitation programme, however, the singer is reported to have missed one appointment with his probation team and been late on another occasion.
Because of his jail sentence Pete Doherty has to postpone a concert at the Royal Albert Hall in April, and his appearance at Glastonbury Festival later on in June is also cancelled.
The Royal Albert Hall gig is, however, due to be rescheduled and all tickets will be valid for the new date once it has been announced.
Pete Doherty’s record label announced on behalf of the star: "Peter was very much looking forward to the show and would like to offer his sincerest apologies to all his fans and to all those concerned."
