Scott Weiland is no longer singer for rock band Velvet Revolver
Velvet Revolver have parted company with their singer Scott Weiland because of what the band described as his "erratic behaviour".

Velvet Revolver’s guitarist Slash revealed that Scott Weiland's "personal problems have forced us to move on," and he added: "This band is all about its fans and its music and Scott Weiland isn't 100% committed to either."

Scott WeilandScott Weiland, 40, has been arrested several times for drug offences, and the singer has recently denied driving under the influence of drugs when he appeared in court in March.

Velvet Revolver had to change its schedules to work around Scott Weiland's appearances in court and the time he has spent in rehab.

Scott Weiland is back in court later this week for a hearing ahead of his forthcoming trial for the charge of allegedly driving under the influence of drugs.

Scott Weiland is reported to be performing a series of concerts with the Stone Temple Pilots, which was his old band. The Stone Temple Pilots have got back together again and their gig at the Rock on the Range festival in Columbus, Ohio next month will be the first time they have played as a band since 2001.
