French golf star Thomas Levet beats 19-year-old Oliver Fisher
French golf star Thomas Levet has ended 19-year-old Oliver Fisher’s chances of victory on the European Tour when he beat the younger golfer at the Andalucia Open.

Oliver Fisher, who comes from Essex, and who was three ahead with six left, was hoping to become the fifth-youngest winner on the European Tour ever, but his plans went wrong when he bogeyed the 13th and 14th and then found the water off the tee on the 18th as well as hitting a bogey five on the extra holle.

Thomas LevetHis French opponent Thomas Levet also dropped a shot on the 13th, however, he made up for it by sinking three birdies in the following four holes to end the game on 16 under.

Thomas Levet was nevertheless full of praise for Oliver Fisher whom he thinks has the talent to compete with the world’s best golfers and he said: "He will probably be the next Nick Faldo or something like that because he is a great player. If he improves on Tour in two or three years he'll be like Tiger Woods - he's that good."
