Cecilia Ciganer-Albeniz's friendship with Moroccan-born Richard Attias first became public knowledge when the couple were seen out together in New York back in 2005, during a break in her marriage to Nicolas Sarkozy.
Nicolas Sarkozy himself got married again less than two months ago to former model Carla Bruni, and the press have been quick to call the marriage of his ex-wife to Richard Attias a "revenge wedding".
Approximately 150 guests arrived at the Rockefeller Center on Sunday evening and went up by lift to the 65th floor where the Rainbow Room is.
Cocktails and dinner followed the wedding ceremony, but no further information has been revealed.
