Dominique Gonzalez-FoersterDominique Gonzalez-Foerster will be the ninth artist to have an exhibition at this part of the prestigious gallery when her work goes on public display in October.

Dominique Gonzalez-Foerster will also be the second artist, who was born in France, to have been commissioned for the Unilever Series and follows Louise Bourgeois, who had created the project back in 2000.

Dominique Gonzalez-Foerster’s past artworks include changing a room into "a theatre of performing shadows" (Seance de Shadows II, 1998) as well as a sound and light show (Cosmodrome, 2001).

Last year Dominique Gonzalez-Foerster delighted spectators to the sound of rainfall (Promenade, 2007).

The exhibition at the Tate will be Dominique Gonzalez-Foerster first British commissioned display of art.
