Sebastien Loeb said: "There's always a bit more pressure when you are some points behind. But OK, I always expected to do a good job here in Mexico."
Australian Subaru driver Chris Atkinson was in second position and Ford's Jari-Matti Latvala, who had originally been the leader, came third.
Coming first at the Rally of Mexico was Sebastien Loeb's 38th victory, and has set a record for the championship, as well as being a third win in a row in Mexico for him.
"This rally has not been so easy, I had a big battle with Jari-Matti but we got the result we came for finally," Sebastien Loeb also said after the race.
