
Nicolas Sarkozy was in South Africa on a visit and he told South Africa's parliament in Cape Town that: "They must reflect Africa as it is today and not as it was yesterday."
President Nicolas Sarkozy also spoke about migration and he likened the situation in Europe with that of South Africa, which is facing a similar problem with migrant people.
Nicolas Sarkozy said as well that he thought that Africa should have at least one permanent seat on the UN Security Council. With that in mind he pointed out that France would no longer accept discussions of important global affairs taking place without a leading African country being involved.
