The memorial to General Charles de Gaulle is at the Les Invalides army museum in Paris and opens its doors to the public on Saturday.
The memorial to Charles de Gaulle has three doors and each one marks a key point in the general's life, with one symbolising his 1940 address that he made from BBC radio in London.
The other doors symbolise the liberation of Paris in August 1944 and France's Fifth Republic, which Charles de Gaulle founded in 1958.
Charles de Gaulle Foundation president, Pierre Mazeaud, is reported to have said that this memorial has placed General Charles de Gaulle in the company of the other great names of French history - Napoleon and Louis XIV.
