French tennis star Michael Llodra beats Robin Soderling
French tennis star Michael Llodra has won the third title of his career so far and his second triumph this year when he beat Sweden’s Robin Soderling at the World Tennis Tournament in Rotterdam. Michael Llodra had already also won in Adelaide in January.

A proud Michael Llodra said: "I came here this week and saw the draw and knew it would be difficult and so it is unbelievable I'm standing here with the trophy."

Michael LlodraMichael Llodra fought his way back from being a set down, as well as coping with an injury to his back that needed treatment in the second set, to claim a 6-7 (3-7) 6-3 7-6 (7-4) victory.

Robin Soderling and Michael Llodra are ranked at 58 and 59 in the world respectively so it was a real surprise that they both got through to the finals. Michael Llodra defeated second seed Nikolay Davydenko in round two, and Robin Soderling beat eighth seed Marcos Baghdatis in the first round.
