France rugby team beaten by England in Paris
France’s rugby team were defeated by England 24-13, and after the match that took place in Paris on Saturday, French coach Marc Lievremont had called England hooker Mark Regan a "grotesque clown."

Mark Regan, 36, wasn’t worried though even when Marc Lievremont also added: "I thought the behaviour of the English hooker was completely unacceptable at times."

Mark ReganIn fact, Mark Regan downplayed his reaction to the French coach’s remarks by saying: "It's the biggest compliment you can give me. It's my job to get under their skins and clearly I did that."

Mark Regan’s habit of delaying to take throw-ins at the match had annoyed the French and this was how their coach Marc Lievremont was feeling.

Nevertheless, Mark Regan did admit: "I am a bit disappointed Lievremont called me a clown, but when you come to France you have got to play on the edge and get under their skin somehow. If you don't, they will get under yours."

Marc Lievremont had taken a risk with his choice of players and it hadn’t worked out as he hoped but he is regarding it all as a learning experience and is confident about his team’s future.
