Britney Spears, 26, had already been taken into the Cedar-Sinai Medical Center earlier this month, after she wouldn’t give up custody of her two sons to her ex-husband, Kevin Federline, and police had been called in.
Britney Spears had been released from the centre after a day and a half but no details of what treatment she may have had have been made public.
Earlier on this week, American talk show host of The View, Barbara Walters, said that Britney Spears had seen a psychiatrist and was having treatment for "mental issues".
Barbara Walters had explained that Britney Spears' manager Sam Lufti had told her that the singer had treatable psychiatric problems.
