Former rock star Gary Glitter hospitalised in Vietnam
Former rock star Gary Glitter has been treated in hospital in Vietnam after suffering diarrhoea and an irregular heartbeat it has been reported.

Gary Glitter, 63, whose real name is Paul Francis Gadd, had his career come to an end and found himself publicly disgraced when he was convicted and imprisoned in March 2006 for molesting two girls aged 11 and 12.

Gary GlitterDoctor Nguyen Thai Hoa said that Gary Glitter was transferred to the prisoners' clinic on January 4 because he was found to be suffering from intestinal problems, and was kept in for observation and treatment after it was found that his heartbeat was slower than it should be.

Gary Glitter’s three-year sentence had been cut down by three months last year during a prisoner amnesty and he is set to end his prison sentence in August.

The Foreign and Commonwealth Office have issued no comment on Gary Glitter.
