Performances in Birkenhead and St Helens have been postponed.
Ken Dodd, who is famous for his “tickling stick” and joking about Knotty Ash and the “diddy men” who live there, was due to play at Birkenhead's Pacific Road Arts Centre on New Year's Day followed by the Theatre Royal in St Helens next Sunday.
Refunds are available for all ticket-holders who cannot attend on the new dates.
Ken Dodd went into hospital and had the surgery after he suffered terrible stomach pains just hours after performing at Liverpool's Philharmonic Hall.
Ken Dodd has nearly 30 other shows lined up for the first half of 2008.
