Lily Allen, 22, who is the daughter of actor and writer Keith Allen, has been dating Ed Simons, 37, who is one half of electronic dance act the Chemical Brothers, since September.
The spokesman for the couple added: "As the pregnancy is at a very, very early stage, the couple ask that you respect their privacy, as the health of Lily and their child is their paramount concern."
Earlier in the year it was announced that Lily Allen had been suffering from a heart murmur and so her health is a priority matter. However, Lily Allen will release her second album next year as planned.
